Willmar, MN. – RELCO®, A Kovalus Company, has been awarded the opportunity to play a critical role in a major facility upgrade happening at Arla Foods Ingredients’ plant in Argentina. The contribution comes in the form of a complete evaporation and drying process comprised of brand new, RELCO-provided equipment.
The plant is designed to process non-caking permeate powder through the use of MVR-TVR evaporation, crystallization, and a bustle dryer timing belt system. Through this carefully scoped process design, maximum moisture removal is achieved during evaporation, minimizing the footprint and energy consumption of downstream equipment. Dehumidification of the drying air further reduces equipment size requirements and allows for continuous operation of the plant to generate a more stable, economical, and higher-quality powder.
Our engineers emphasize sustainability at every turn, employing equipment and components that offer more control over the operation to reduce operational expenses. All RELCO equipment supplied in this project meets sanitary design regulations and standards for edible powder production.
The RELCO solution relies on decades of engineering expertise and familiarity with non-caking permeate processing applications, as well as cutting-edge evaporator and dryer technologies. Our team has worked with customers around the world to achieve high-quality powders through similar process designs, having developed a reputation built on trust through demonstrated success.
